- Mild tenderness is common for 1–3 days.
- Avoid very sticky or hard foods on that side for the first day.
- Keep up great home care – Brushing and flossing around the crown margin is essential.
- Return if your bite feels “high” – A quick adjustment resolves it.

How long does a same-day crown appointment take?
Plan for a single visit that typically lasts a few hours from start to finish (prep, scan, design, mill, and bond).
Is a same-day crown as strong as a lab crown?
For most situations, yes—our chairside ceramics are highly durable. For certain esthetic or bite-heavy cases, we may recommend a lab crown. We’ll explain why.
Will the color match?
Yes. We shade-match and characterize your crown to blend with neighboring teeth.
What if my tooth is too broken for a crown?
If a tooth can’t be predictably restored, we’ll discuss alternatives such as an implant-supported crown or a bridge.
How much does it cost and will insurance help?
Most PPO plans cover crowns at a percentage after deductible. We’ll verify benefits, provide a written estimate, and submit on your behalf.
